Aspirations
Our ABC aspiration.
The aim of Above Base Camp is to set out a framework for the journey of faith that enables Christians to grow towards spiritual maturity, that is, to become an elder, not just older. The framework is intended to be Trinitarian: it is about walking the Good Way of the Ancient Paths up the Mountain of God towards the Father, by following the path of Jesus, in step with the Holy Spirit. The core theological principles of Above Base Camp are Family and Kingdom, both of which see us as part of something much bigger than ourselves, but in which we must ensure we play our part.

Basic Tenets
Six ABC-DEF tenets.
Above Base Camp aims to put the Trinity of God at the heart of all it does and as such we would perhaps describe our outlook as contemplative (The Father), evangelical (The Son, Jesus) and charismatic (The Holy Spirit). Certainly, the material we use has been sourced from a wide variety of denominations from across church history, but it's impossible in a simple website like this to list every belief we hold. So, instead, we have set out the following six ABC-DEF tenets to explain why Above Base Camp is perhaps a little different to what you may have heard before.

Accept that Jesus is the Son of God and Author of the Christian faith,

Growing and Glowing, from Glory to Glory, in
